Organizer(s):

The SBFC aims to bring together international academics, policy makers and industry professionals and to provide them with the opportunity to meet and to share their research and interests on issues relating to banking and financial stability. Papers from the conference will be considered for two separate special issues in the Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money and Journal of Financial Stability.

Authors whose papers are accepted for presentation at the SBFC are encouraged, but not obligated, to submit their papers for these Special Issues. Papers submitted for the Special Issues will be reviewed following these journals’ standard review process but submission fees will be waived. Details regarding the journal submission processes will be provided after the conference.

– Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions & Money: Suk-Joong Kim, The University of Sydney
– Journal Financial Stability: Eliza Wu, The University of Sydney

The conference will consider both academic and policy-oriented papers in the broad fields of Banking, Financial Intermediation, Financial markets, Financial Stability, and General Finance

Further Information
Partial drafts or detailed abstracts will be considered but completed papers will be given priority.

REGISTRATION FEE:

– For accepted paper presenters:

  • Earlybird rate: AUD350 until October 1
  • Normal rate: AUD400 after October 1
  • PhD candidates: AUD300

– For participants without a paper presentation: AUD300
– There is no fee for paper submission

BUREAU VAN DIJK BEST PAPER AWARDS:
– AUD1,000 for the best paper in Banking/Financial Intermediation
– AUD1,000 for the best paper in Financial Stability
