Southern Finance Association 2019 Annual Meeting

The Southern Finance Association announces its 59th annual meeting at the Waldorf Astoria in Orlando, Florida (https://www.waldorfastoriaorlando.com) from November 20 – 23, 2019.

As Program Chair, I invite you to participate in the 2019 meetings whether to present your research, participate in a panel discussion, discuss papers, or serve as a session chair. Research papers on any area of finance will be considered along with proposals for panel discussions, special sessions, or tutorials.

Paper Submission:
Please submit papers electronically in PDF form at the conference website (www.openconf.org/southernfinance2019/track1). Submissions will be accepted until the deadline of Friday, March 15, 2019. The SFA charges a $35 submission fee for conference submissions. The fee is waived for single-author doctoral student papers. Submitted papers should not have been accepted for publication at the time of submission and will be double-blind reviewed by members of the program committee.

Special Sessions, Panel Discussions, and Tutorials:
Those wishing to organize a special session, panel discussion or tutorial should submit a proposal directly to the VP of Program (Woodley.SFA2019@gmail.com).

Program Committee:
Volunteers are needed to serve on the program committee. Please visit the conference website (www.openconf.org/southernfinance2019/track1) and follow the instructions to volunteer.

Special Opportunities for Doctoral Students:
• Paper submission fee waived for single-author doctoral student papers.
• A $1,000 award and waived conference registration fee for the Doctoral Student Best Paper.
• Two awards of $500 and waived conference registration fees for Doctoral Student Paper Runners-Up.
• Special sessions for doctoral students.
