Description:
The FDIC’s Center for Financial Research invites submissions for the 25th Annual Bank Research Conference to be held on September 24 and 25, 2026 in Arlington, Virginia.
We invite theoretical and empirical papers on banking issues including, but not limited to:
- Regulatory reform options and considerations
- Risk and resiliency in the financial system
- Real effects of financial turmoil
- Innovations in financial intermediation
- Deposit insurance and stability
- Emerging competitive threats to traditional banking
- AI and technology in finance
- Banks’ role in the 21st Century
Poster Session
The poster session is open to Ph.D. students in economics, finance, and related fields.
Submissions should include a complete draft of the paper.
Submissions may have senior coauthors, but the presenter must be a Ph.D. student.
Posters will have both a brief on-stage presentation to the assembled conference as well as the poster to present in the lobby during breaks.
Submission:
Papers will be selected for presentation based on reviews by FDIC economists and the Organizing Committee, with final selections made by external reviewers.
Paper and Poster submissions must be received by April 24, 2026. Authors will be notified about the status of their papers in July 2026.
