ITAM’s Department of Business Administration, in partnership with Fundación de Estudios Financieros (FUNDEF), is delighted to host the 12th ITAM Finance Conference, designed to bring together leading scholars in the field. The conference will be held in person on Friday February 24th, and Saturday February 25th, 2023 at ITAM’s campus in Mexico City.
We invite authors to submit empirical or theoretical papers from all areas of finance and financial economics (broadly defined). We particularly encourage submission of new work, and request that submitted papers not be forthcoming for publication at the time of submission.
HOW TO SUBMIT

TRIP TO THE PYRAMIDS OF TEOTIHUACÁN
All participants are invited to join us for a trip to the Pyramids of Teotihuacán, a UNESCO World Heritage Site on the outskirts of Mexico City, on the afternoon of the second day (Saturday, February 25th). In most cases, we can accommodate a reasonable number of guests accompanying presenters or discussants to the pyramids and social events.
MEALS AND ACCOMMODATION
We will cover breakfast, lunch, and dinner for all presenters and discussants for the two days of the conference, including a conference cocktail on Friday the 24th and dinner on Saturday the 25th.
Additionally, we will hold a block of rooms at a nearby hotel for presenters, and we will cover up to 3 nights’ accommodation for discussants. Details will be announced in due course.
TRAVEL AND LOCATION INFORMATION
Mexico City International Airport has direct flights to major cities in North America, Europe, and Latin America. Daytime high temperatures in late February range from 23 to 26oC (74 to 78oF) with overnight lows of 9 to 11oC (48 to 52oF).
In addition to visa-free nationalities, Mexico generally grants visa-free entry to visitors who have a valid visa or residence permit issued by the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Schengen Area countries, or Japan. As of September 2022, there are no COVID-related travel restrictions in place.
