The International Journal of Central Banking (IJCB) is organizing its 2023 annual conference, “Global Supply Shocks, Trade Frictions, and Inflation.” The conference will be hosted by the Central Bank of Ireland in Dublin on 22-23 June 2023.

There have been several global and sectoral shocks over the past few years that have impacted supply, trade, and economic activity. The impact has hit economies heterogeneously, albeit with persistently elevated inflation a common feature. The current economic environment has raised several policy questions. This conference is seeking both empirical and theoretical policy-relevant papers that can answer questions such as the following:

  • Should central banks respond differently to supply versus demand-induced inflation?
  • Has there been a structural change in the persistence of inflation?
  • What are the macroeconomic effects of changes in international trade arrangements?
  • What is the best way to communicate policy intentions at different levels of the policy rate?
  • What are the potential benefits/costs of coordinated monetary and/or fiscal policies?

SUBMISSION: The submission deadline is March 01, 2023 and complete manuscripts (not abstracts) in PDF format should be submitted using the online submission website available at: http://editorialexpress.com/conference/IJCB2023
