The Research Centre of the Deutsche Bundesbank organizes the 2025 Spring Conference on Expectations of Households and Firms with the objective to present state-of-the-art research in the field.
Over the past years, central banks and institutions around the world have collected survey data on expectations of consumers and firms. Researchers and policy analysts have used the data to gain valuable insights into the heterogeneity of economic agents’ expectations, how agents form and update them and to what extent expectations influence decisions.
The conference aims to bring together researchers working on these and related topics. We invite both empirical and theoretical papers from all areas related to the expectations of firms and households and their measurement.

Travel and accommodation expenses will be reimbursed for academic participants (presenters and discussants), subject to a cap.
