Banca d’Italia, the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and Norges Bank are organizing the 3rd Women in Central Banking Workshop to be held in Rome on 6 and 7 November 2025. This workshop provides a platform for female PhD and post-doctoral students working on topics relevant to central banks to present their research and receive feedback. Clara Raposo (Vice-Governor of Banco de Portugal) and Chiara Scotti (Deputy Governor of Banca d’Italia) will give keynote lectures.
We encourage female PhD and post-doctoral students, especially those who are close to the end of their studies, to submit their work. Submissions in all areas of economics and finance, but especially macroeconomics, labor economics, inequality, inflation and monetary economics, banking and financial intermediation, international economics and international finance, are welcome. Selected papers will be assigned a discussant.
Submission:
Full papers should be submitted to wicb2025@bancaditalia.it by June 30, 2025. Authors of accepted papers will be notified by July 31, 2025. All applicants are also kindly asked to fill in the survey available at this link. The data collected through the survey will be used by the organizing institutions to evaluate the impact of this and other outreach initiatives.
The workshop will take place in person at Banca d’Italia headquarters in Rome. Banca d’Italia will cover travel and accommodation costs for all presenters, subject to a cap.
