December 2019: New VoxEU Column – Macroprudential liquidity requirements

Macroprudential regulation is in vogue, but liquidity requirements are typically seen only as a microprudential tool. This column shows how a macroprudential approach to liquidity requirements could improve regulatory efficiency.
