Description:
The Centre for Studies in Economics and Finance (CSEF) and the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) invite submissions of papers on the interaction between financial and labor markets. Possible topics include:
- Technological innovation, job-skill matches and firms’ employment policies.
- Role of employees in the governance and financing of companies.
- Responses of wages, employment, and career trajectories to shocks.
- Risk-sharing arrangements between firms and workers.
The conference aims to bring together researchers in financial and labor economics to examine issues from both disciplines’ perspectives. Gordon Phillips’ keynote lecture will be on “Labor Reallocation and Unemployment Spells: The Role of Credit”.
Participants are expected to stay for the whole event. The conference will be held at the Villa Orlandi Conference Centre of the University of Naples Federico II, in Anacapri (Capri), Italy. It will begin with a welcome lunch on Friday, June 26, and end in the early afternoon of Saturday, June 27, 2026. A short-presentation session will be reserved for Ph.D. job market candidates (who are required to submit their CVs). Submissions are open to members of the scientific committee.
