The symposium will provide a platform for researchers and
policy makers to discuss new research findings and to identify areas where further academic
and policy-oriented work is needed. Papers are invited on the following, non-exhaustive, list of
topics:
- Private equity, private debt, venture capital, venture debt, micro-equity, microcredit
- Fintech, AI, and alternative screening methods in low-data environments
- Climate, nature, and biodiversity finance
- Distributional impacts of access to finance
- Development of local currency markets and the reduction of FX risks
- Blending finance and other public policies for private finance
- State-owned banks vs private banks in emerging markets
- Political connections, credit allocation, and distortions
- Regulatory capacity and supervisory technology (SupTech/RegTech)
- Financial literacy and trust in financial institutions
- Access to finance and export participation/global value chains
- Financing intangible capital and innovation in EM firms

Accommodation expenses will be covered for speakers and discussants. Travel expenses will
be reimbursed in accordance with CEPR’s expense guidelines. To submit a paper (full papers

starts on Tuesday noon (June 23rd) and ends on Wednesday afternoon (June 24th). An invitation-
only conference dinner will be held on Tuesday evening.
