Entering its 8th year, the Workshop on Financial Institutions Research, hosted at the St. Louis Fed, formally invites the submission of high quality, early stage working papers that focus on financial intermediation and banking with policymaking implications. Papers that fit within the following research themes are encouraged:

• Bank Regulation, Supervision, and Compliance
• Bank Risk-taking, Stability, and Financial Crises
• Lending and Credit Allocation
• Bank Governance, Ownership, and Compensation
• Bank Disclosure, Accounting, and the Information Environment
• Deposits, Funding Structure, and Liability Management
• Financial Technology, Innovation, and Bank Competition

As in years past, speakers will receive feedback from both academic participants as well as senior bank examiners from the Federal Reserve System and state regulatory agencies.
