The Financial Intermediation Research Society (FIRS) is pleased to announce that its next conference will be held May 30, 2020 to June 1, 2020 in Budapest, Hungary. The conference will begin around mid-day on Saturday, May 30 and will continue for the full day on Sunday, June 1, and Monday, June 2. The conference venue will be the Marriott, Budapest. This is an exceptional location, as all of the rooms have spectacular views of the Danube River and Castle!
PHD JOB-CANDIDATE SESSION:
As in the recent past, the 2020 FIRS Conference will hold a special session for PhD students planning to go on the job market during the 2020/2021 academic year. Each paper will be discussed by a seasoned researcher in a session open to all FIRS participants. Student nominees must submit a solo-authored draft of their job-market paper, along with an advisor’s letter of support. All fields in finance will be considered.
Further Information:
Conference fees will be waived for students whose papers are accepted for the special session, and FIRS will reimburse these students up to $1,000 to cover travel and hotel expenses.
