The Opportunity & Inclusive Growth Institute is pleased to announce a call for papers for its third annual Research Conference. This event will showcase the range of frontier-style research that the Institute engages with and supports. A broad scholarly exchange of ideas around presented papers will be encouraged. The event will also include an invited keynote speaker.
We invite submissions on questions related to the Institute mission of supporting the Federal Reserve’s dual mandate through research into how to enhance economic opportunity and achieve inclusive growth. We invite submissions that inform this mission from both inside and outside of economics and from a range of methodological approaches.
The second day of the conference will focus on paper development, and submissions will be limited to researchers who are within 10 years of completing their Ph.D.
Submission:
Submissions to the main conference day are open to Institute Advisory Board members and current or former visiting scholars, as well as to colleagues around the Federal Reserve System. Researchers of any affiliation up to 10 years post-Ph.D. are invited to submit to the early career researchers’ workshop on the second day of the conference.
The deadline for submissions is 5:00 p.m. CT on May 12.

The 2023 conference will be held in person at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis on October 5 (main conference) and October 6 (early career researchers’ workshop). Reimbursement for presenters’ travel expenses will be available. Coverage of the main conference will be streamed online.
