We encourage the submission of papers on topics including (but not limited to) financial intermediation inside or outside of the regulated sector; securitization and shadow banking; financial risk measurement and management; financial stability and macroprudential policies; payments systems; household finance; financial market structure and regulation; central banking; and financial innovation.
Completed papers (which will be given preference) or extended abstracts should be submitted electronically by Friday, March 27, 2020. See below for submission instructions.

To submit a paper, please begin by registering at the conference planning website (https://www.conftool.pro/ibefa-assa2021/). This link can also be reached via the heading “Call for Papers – ASSA” at the IBEFA website (https://www.ibefa.org/). Enter all requested contact information for all authors, as well as appropriate keywords and JEL codes. If you experience any submission difficulty, please contact Niki Maas (ibefa.conferences@gmail.com).
There is no paper submission fee. However, at least one author from each accepted paper must be an IBEFA member as of June 1, 2020. Regular membership dues are US$100 and US$50 for students for one year. Authors of (provisionally) accepted papers, who are not members, will be given the opportunity to join before the program is finalized.
You must also register to attend the ASSA annual meeting, as ASSA charges a separate conference registration fee for all attendees. Registration and housing open in late summer.
