The 38th Australasian Finance and Banking Conference (AFBC) is organised by the Institute of Global Finance, UNSW Business School. The Conference will be held on 11th –13th December 2025 (In person only).
The AFBC is the most significant and prestigious finance conference in the Asia-Pacific region. It convenes the world’s foremost global thought leaders from international institutions, governments, and the business community. The conference offers policymakers, academics, and industry professionals a chance to meet and share their policy research and interests in finance-related fields. The Conference Committee invites all academics and practitioners to participate.
As part of this conference, the following International forums will be held:

- CBDCs, Fintech, and Digital Finance
- Sustainable Investment
PhD Forum
When: Wednesday, 10 December 2025.
The 38th AFBC will include a PhD Forum for advanced Finance Doctoral Students who are currently working on their dissertation.
The one-day forum will provide accepted students with a unique opportunity to present their dissertation proposals and engage in discussions with distinguished academics from leading business schools in the US, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region.
During the Forum, PhD candidates will obtain valuable insights on career development from leading scholars, and they will discuss recent advancements in finance literature with fellow students and faculty members.
