The Discipline of Finance at the University of Sydney Business School would like to invite submissions for the 2023 meeting of the Sydney Banking and Financial Stability Conference (SBFC). Our primary objective in organising this conference is to foster a platform where international academics can gather, interact, and exchange their latest insights in the fields of banking, financial system stability, and other pertinent subjects within financial studies. By facilitating this forum, we aim to prioritise collaborative endeavours in addressing the most pressing and contemporary issues concerning banking and financial stability. Furthermore, we aspire to contribute to public policy discussions on how to enhance our collective framework and fortify the resilience of the financial system for the future.
Submission:
The conference welcomes submissions of academic and policy-oriented papers encompassing various subject areas of Banking and Finance, such as Financial Intermediation, Financial Institutions and Markets, Corporate Finance, Asset Pricing, and Investment. These papers should broadly align with the overarching themes of financial stability and the resilience of the financial system.
We will consider partial drafts or extended abstracts for submission, although completed papers will be given preference. Please submit two versions of your paper electronically, either in PDF or Word format. One version should exclude any author and affiliation details (anonymous version), while the other version should include the full author details.
Papers for the conference should be submitted to sbfc.conference@sydney.edu.au with the subject line “SBFC2023 Submission”. The deadline for paper submissions for the conference is August 31, 2023.
Authors will be notified by September 20, 2023, whether their papers have been accepted for presentation at the conference.
