The Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford and the School of Business and Economics at Vrije
Universiteit Amsterdam jointly invite submissions to the Oxford Saïd – VU SBE Macro-finance Conference.
The conference will be held over two days (June 25 – 26, 2026) at Saïd Business School. We welcome high-quality submissions at the intersection of financial intermediation and macroeconomics, both theoretical and empirical research. Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
- Monetary policy, macroprudential policy, and fiscal policy
- Credit, banks, bankruptcy and systemic risks
- International finance, exchange rates, sovereign debt, and debt sustainability
- Climate risks and the macro-financial implications
Submission:
The deadline for submission is 23:59 GMT, Thursday January 29, 2026. The submission fee is ₤45 per
paper. Papers should be submitted via the webpage: https://www.sbs.ox.ac.uk/events/oxford-said-vusbe-macro-finance-conference. Upon receiving payment your submission will be confirmed.Decisions will be announced in early April.
Xuan Wang Young Scholars Fellowship:
To honour the legacy of the late Professor Xuan Wang, who organised previous editions of this conference and tragically passed away in 2025, we will award the Xuan Wang Young Scholars Fellowship – a grant that will cover travel and accommodation costs for one selected junior researcher.
