Description:

The International Banking, Economics, and Finance Association (IBEFA) will hold its next Summer Meeting in Denver, Colorado, in conjunction with the 101st Annual Western Economic Association International (WEAI) Conference, during June 29 – July 3, 2026. The meeting will be held in person only.

IBEFA seeks paper submissions that contribute to its goals of advancing the study of banking, economic, and financial issues. We encourage the submission of papers on topics including (but not limited to) financial intermediation; securitization and shadow banking; financial risk measurement and management; financial stability and macroprudential policies; payments systems; household finance; financial market structure and regulation; monetary policy; financial intermediation and global fragmentation; sustainable finance; and FinTech.

The submission of complete sessions on policy-relevant topics is also encouraged. Sessions should consist of 3-4 papers and include discussants. Session chairs should send a session proposal by e-mail (chair, presenting authors, paper titles, and discussants; include full names, affiliations, and e-mail addresses). Presenting authors (including those of papers in organized sessions) should submit their papers individually following the instructions below.

Additional Information: There is a paper submission fee of US$100 per paper (US$50 for papers solely authored by PhD. students) to be paid through ConfTool. Only submissions for which the submission fee has been paid will be considered for review. The presenting author of an accepted paper must also register for the WEAI Conference. Registration is available at the WEAI member rate; US$195 for members (increases to US$225 after April 16 and US$275 after May 15, 2026); US$95 for student members (increases to US$125 after May 15, 2026).
