The School of Business and Economics of the University of Chile (with the
support of the Central Bank of Chile) is proud to be organizing the 2022
edition of the Santiago Finance Workshop (SFW), which will be held on
December 5–6, 2022 in Santiago, Chile. We invite scholars and researchers
to submit papers on any topic belonging to the fields of Finance or
Financial Economics by July 31st , 2022.
The University of Chile is one of the most prestigious universities in
Latin America, and the aim of its workshop is to bring together academics
and policymakers from all around the world to discuss new empirical and
theoretical research on financial issues.
The sixth previous editions of the workshop took place between 2015 and
2021 (the SFW 2020 was
cancelled due to the global pandemic) and sparked stimulating discussions
and welcomed outstanding keynote speakers, including Prof. Ron Kaniel,
Prof. Itay Goldstein, Prof. Toni M. Whited, Prof. Stefan Nagel, Prof.
Andrew Karolyi, Prof. Franklin Allen, Prof. Michael Brennan and Prof.
Eduardo Schwartz.
The workshop is expected to take place in person in Santiago, Chile, if the
sanitary situation allows it.
Further Information:
The SFW’s Organizing Committee will cover presenters’ airfares (economy
class) to Santiago, as well as their accommodation costs during the
workshop. Participants will be expected to stay for the entire
duration of the conference. Nonetheless, should it be required due to the
pandemic, the SFW may follow a
hybrid format this year and take place both online and in Santiago.
Submission Instructions: Authors interested in having their papers
considered for the SWF 2022 should submit a complete manuscript to
sfw@fen.uchile.cl by July 31 st , 2022 (GMT -4) with the subject:
“Submission to SFW 2022”. Authors of accepted papers will be notified
by August 15 th , 2022.
