The Northern Finance Association is pleased to invite submissions for its
33rd Annual Conference, to be held on September 16-18, 2021 virtually via
Zoom. Papers on any topic related to finance will be considered, as long as
they have not already been accepted for publication in a journal. Each
author is restricted to one submission. In case of multiple co-authored
papers, each paper must have a different presenter at the conference.

Papers should be submitted electronically at
https://portal.northernfinanceassociation.org/. The deadline for
submissions is March 28, 2021, at 11:59 PM Pacific Time. Papers will be
reviewed anonymously by up to four members of the Program Committee, and
authors will be notified about the outcome of the review process by mid-May
2021. Conference registration will open by mid-May, 2021. Conference

Sessions for Ph.D. students
Papers authored exclusively by students who are nearing completion of their
Ph.D. and planning to enter the job market shortly after the conference may
be submitted using the standard submission procedure. Such papers should
select “Yes”  in the “Student Author” dropdown list during the
submission process to be considered for the Ph.D. Sessions if they aren’t
selected for the regular program. The Ph.D. Sessions will be held on
Thursday, September 16, 2021 in the afternoon and will be chaired by
Vincent Glode from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Special Session for Assistant Professors
The conference will include a special session for assistant professors on
Friday, September 17 in the afternoon. The session will be chaired by
Burton Hollifield from the Tepper School of Business, Carnegie Mellon
University.
Women in Finance Networking Breakfast
The conference will include a special breakfast for women in finance on
Saturday, September 18. This event will be hosted by Susan Christoffersen
from the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto.
