The Luxembourg School of Finance at the University of Luxembourg and AFFECT
are jointly organizing the fourth conference on Showcasing Women in
Finance. This Showcase is a continuation of the series of Showcase events
hosted by the University of Miami, the Stockholm School of Economics, and
AFFECT.
AFFECT is a committee of the American Finance Association (AFA) that aims
to promote the advancement of women academics in the field of finance. The
conference will be held at the Luxembourg School of Finance, Luxembourg
City.
The aim of the conference is to highlight female role models in finance and
to provide an avenue for more junior researchers to receive feedback on
their research and careers. The conference will be followed by a panel
discussion on "What can be done to make the academic finance profession
more inclusive?"
CONFERENCE FORMAT: We will have 5 papers, a PhD session, and a panel
discussion. Each presenter will have 20 minutes to present her paper,
followed by a 15 minute discussion. This year, Manju Puri, who is a member
of the AFFECT committee, will contribute to the conference as keynote
speaker and panelist.
PAPER SUBMISSIONS: Papers from all areas of finance will be considered. We
encourage submissions from junior researchers and doctoral students. Papers
that are at an early stage (but completed) will receive priority. Please do
not submit a paper that has been accepted or close to being accepted for
publication in a journal.

All reasonable travel expenses of presenters and discussants will be
