Description:
This is a call for papers for the 13th HEC-McGill Winter Finance
Conference, an event jointly organized by the Finance departments of HEC
Montréal, and the Desmarais Global Finance Research Centre at McGill
University.
We welcome submissions of academic papers in all areas of finance,
including interdisciplinary work in law and finance, sustainability, and
new financial technologies. The number of participants is limited to ensure
an informal atmosphere conducive to open and lively discussions.
The conference will take place in La Malbaie in Charlevoix, located on the
North bank of the Saint Lawrence river in snowy Québec. We will be hosted
by Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu. Nearby resorts offer alpine and
cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing, among other activities.
Submission: 
Please fill out the submission form. Within 24 hours, you should receive a
request for payment of the 85 CAD submission fee from PayPal. 
The pdf file should be labeled LASTNAME-HECMCGILL-2026.pdf, where the last
name should be the one of the submitting author. The closing date for
submissions is November 23rd and participants will be notified of the
programme selection before December 15th.
A conference fee will be charged to cover expenses relating to conference
facilities and a conference dinner. In the past, the fee has been
approximately 150 USD. Travel and hotel expenses are not covered, but hotel
rooms are pre-booked at a discounted rate. The closest airports are the
international airports of Quebec City (Jean Lesage airport, 2h drive) and
Montréal (5h drive).
