Description:

As ecosystems face unprecedented challenges due to human behavior, the economic implications of biodiversity loss demand a deeper understanding in various fields in finance and accounting. How can financial systems, investment and financing decisions, and accounting standards respond to the challenges imposed by declining biodiversity? How can the protection and restoration of ecosystems be monetized? The conference aims to bring together novel scientific contributions from various perspectives and to stimulate scientific discussions on these and other questions. Therefore, we solicit empirical and theoretical papers in research fields spanning finance and accounting.

Submission:

Those wishing to present a paper at the conference should submit by March 31, 2025 via e-mail. Please send full-length papers to biodiversity[at]finance.uni-frankfurt[dot]de.  Decisions regarding acceptance will be made by April 30, 2025, the final version of accepted papers must be received by June 30, 2025.
