Submissions for Ph.D. Student Sessions

As in past years, the 2022 FIRS Conference will hold two special sessions for Ph.D. students. Each selected paper will be discussed by a seasoned researcher in a session open to all FIRS participants. Student nominees must submit a solo-authored draft of their paper, along with an advisor’s letter of support. All fields in finance will be considered. Conference fees will be waived for students whose paper is accepted for these special sessions, and FIRS will reimburse these students up to $1,000 to cover travel and hotel expenses.

Further Information:

In addition, the Journal of Financial Intermediation will be sponsoring a $5,000 JFI/FIRS Award for the conference’s best paper by a Ph.D. student. The award-winning paper will be selected jointly by the Board of the Financial Intermediation Research Society and the Editorial Board of the Journal of Financial Intermediation. The award will be announced and presented as part of a special event at the conference.
